3 Ways to Prevent Bullying

3 Ways to Prevent Bullying

1) Encourage student connectivity – Student connectivity is missing in schools and on campuses. Bullying often takes place because students lack understanding of each other. I’m a firm believer that if students truly knew their fellow classmates, they would reframe from the heinous act of bullying. We abuse what and who we fail to understand.
2) Encourage R.A.K (Random Acts of Kindness) – Take 3-5 minutes everyday either in the morning or some time during the day, to have your students say, do, or display to another student something kind, nice, or pleasant. Again, connectivity and breaking down the barriers of hate is the key.
3) Be consistent with your Anti-Bullying policy – First, their “must” be an anti-bullying policy in place, student “must” be fully aware of it, and your school “must” be consistent across the board.

It takes a village to raise a child. It takes a community to prevent the act of bullying.
